  • We remember all that Jesus has done for us

  • Lent is also a time where we remember our Baptism

    • As we mentioned in last week’s lesson, One of the things we receive is grace (The gift of God’s life)

    • During Lent we thank and praise Jesus for sharing his life with us

  • During Lent we try to grow closer to Jesus. We:

    • Pray

    • Follow his example

    • Thank God for his great love

    • Celebrate God’s forgiveness

    • Help people who are sick, hungry, and lonely

      • Although, as followers of Jesus Christ we should always do these things. However, they have a  bigger and special meaning when we do these actions during Lent.

    • The baptism takes place in a special place in the church. This special place is called the baptismal font or pool.

    • Water gives us a sign of the life that God gives us.

    • At baptism God gives us a share in his life (Grace)

  • We say and do special things to celebrate Baptism

    • The Church celebrates Baptism with special words and actions

    • Read along: Leo’s baptism

  • In Baptism we are joined to jesus and one another

    • Read Along: A white garment…

  • These same words and actions were part of the celebration of your baptism too!
