Chapter 26: We care for the Gift of God’s creation
Opening Prayer: 1 Our Father
The World is God’s Gift to us
The world is God’s gift to us
God has given us these creations to use and enjoy. His creations are full of a lot of things such as plants and animals.
We are meant to enjoy God’s creations but it’s important that we also take care of the plants and animals and treat them with kindness.
This also means we have to treat one another with kindness and love.
Each and every one of us are made in God’s image to know and love God, and we are all created with unique gifts and talents.
We can use these gifts and talents to help us in our everyday lives, such as in school or at homes, but they can also be used to help God.
Animals are part of God’s Creation:
God created the world and filled it with animals. Animals are wonderful gifts from God.
When God created people, he told them to watch over the animals.
We care for animals when we make sure they have food to eat, water to drink, even a place to stay.
Talk about some people in your town who take care of animals. Tell what they do. What animals can you take of?
We are all important to God.
God created each one of us, so no two people are exactly alike.
We all enjoy different things and have different gifts and talents which we can use to take care of each other or take care of each
We care for and respect all people.
Jesus meant that we should treat other people the way we want to be treated.
We should show kindness and respect. We should share God’s love with all people.
Some ways we can do this is:
Be polite. Say polite things like “Please” and “Thank you.”
Respect other people’s belongings. Do not take anything without asking.
Tell the truth. Do not tell lies.
Ask for forgiveness if we have done something wrong. Say “I’m sorry.”
Forgive other people when they tell us they are sorry.
Tell how the people in the pictures are taking care of creation.
