ADVENT
Advent is the first season in the church and it lasts for about four Sundays before Christmas.
Advent is the preparation for the coming of Jesus.
The circle of the evergreens represents that God has no beginning and has no end.
The evergreens represent that God does not change. He stays the same all year.
There are four candles. Each candle represents one week during the advent season.
The first candle lit during the season are one of the violet ones. This candle represents hope.
The second violet candle represents peace.
The third candle is the pink one. The pink candle represents joy.
The fourth candle is the violet one and it represents love.
The candle in the middle, is the white candle. The white candle will be lit either on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
