Background:
When Jesus lived on Earth, he often used stories to teach people about God's message of love.
These stories were small simple stories that showed people how to love God and how to love others.
Since these stories helped people, many people wanted to be friends with Jesus.

We Believe:
Many people wanted to follow Jesus.
When Jesus taught, crowds of people would come to hear him.
The people needed him to:
Make them feel better.
Teach them to pray.
Tell them the Good News about God's love.
Tell them how to live a better life.
After spending time with Jesus, people came to know what God's love was like.
Jesus made everyone feel special.

When we wake up in the morning, we an pray to God. This shows how important God is to us. There are special prayers we say to offer God our whole day. We call these prayers morning offerings. You can say this prayer as a morning offering: “My God, I offer you today and all I think and do and say.”
Jesus taught the Great Commandment.
Commandments are laws or rules given to us by God.
These laws help us to live as God wants.
Jesus taught us the Great Commandment:
Jesus Said: "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
When we follow this commandment, we love God, ourselves, and others.

We call him the good Samaritan because he cared and helped the hurt man.
